Throwing Innocent Life Away

Throwing Innocent Life Away

Throwing Innocent Life Away: Can it ever be justified? I don’t believe it can. With all of the resources available in today’s world, this kind of behavior is inexcusable. Ridding yourself of an unwanted animal is as easy as taking a box to the animal shelter. Moreover, here the unwanted creature will be given a home and any medical care needed. Without the need to provide identifying information. Why torture the animal needlessly? Has the human race become so cruel? That unwanted innocent life is as easy to “get rid of” as garbage? With no regard to the horrible act being committed on an innocent life?

This is a 3-week-old kitten. I found this while walking my dog outside in a wet towel on a cold morning. Just thrown away like garbage. Naturally, I took her in and got her warm. I fed her, bathed her to kill the fleas and then had her checked out by a vet. Luckily, she was a healthy kitten, and eating has been relatively easy. Her progress is amazing. What a little love, food, and safety can achieve!

How Can Throwing Innocent Life Away Ever Become A Choice?

In just 4 days’ time, she went from listless to a kitten full of energy and inquisitiveness. I wish I had a video from this morning. She was so energetic and full of pep. She scared my 125-pound Newfoundland dog that had her in her tail just two nights ago. It was hysterical to watch this big dog back away from this tiny kitten. Yet, it makes me wonder what she might have been feeling—when this little thing had been curling up in her chest hairs. She was now jumping around, and wanting to play.

Above all, I will never understand how someone could be so thoughtless and cruel. With just a little thought and preparation, since I’m only talking about a box and a dry towel, she could have been set down in front of the local animal shelter. In other words, even in the middle of the night, she would have been safe. Certainly, on the road, she could have incurred many deadly hazards.
